Notarizing a signature on a document requires a notary public to properly identify the signer(s) listed on a document. To do so, Nevada notary laws outline the forms of acceptable ID a notary public can use when identifying a signer. An identification card used for notarization in the state of Nevada must contain a photo and signature of the signer. This can be a state issued driver license, ID card or other government issues identification card with the signer’s name, photo, and signature on it.
