Notarial wording is a required part of every notarization performed. The notarial wording provides the notary public with key information and instructions. In this information, the notarial wording will tell the notary what type of notarial act to perform. It also lets others know where the notarization was completed and names the signer(s) of a document. When notarial wording is missing, it must be added by writing the information on the document. Alternatively, a loose certificate may be attached.
